What is a heavy glass shower door?

Heavy glass is thick, 3/8" to 1/2" thick.  Heavier glass, is stronger and requires less framing to support it.  Instead of bulky framing we can install the glass with clips, hinges and low profile channels.  The advantage is a cleaner look and a much more solid feel.
